CARA WOJCIK

UX + UI Designer

MISSION

I had the privilege of teaching visual art to thousands of inspiring, rambunctious, and hilarious middle schoolers over the past nine years. My students were diverse and unique; they each brought their own set of strengths and challenges to the classroom. It was my job to understand and address their divergent needs – on the fly, everyday.

This experience taught me how to design and develop engaging and adaptable curricula that works for everybody – there are no edge cases in public education.

I am excited to bring a decade of experience and expertise to designing approachable products and experiences that zero in on people’s needs and consider accessibility and usability first.

ABOUT

Cara is a user experience and interface designer specializing in user research, usability testing, and visual design. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in art history and a certificate in fashion design from Massachusetts College of Art & Design and a Master of Arts in education from Tufts University in affiliation with the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. In 2016, Cara embarked upon a career-change sabbatical to build on her design and development skills. While traveling throughout Asia and Australia, she read a ton of good books, studied instructional design and web design to sharpen her UX skills, and learned enough Japanese to order vegetarian food with a >50% success rate! In her free time, Cara is planning her next snorkeling excursion, dreaming up tiny house designs in SketchUp, or sewing goods for her Etsy shop.
